Plastics turn boys gay?
I got this e-mail from a friend:
Subject: Plastics turn boys gay?

My reply:
My action G.I. Joes were plastic and they kicked ass! They didn't feminize me at all. I remember when I sewed them little ponchos so they could be like Rambo. What's more manly than a 7 year old working a needle and thread through scraps of a camo shirt to accessorize his army figures? And let me tell you, they looked FAB-U-LOUS!

TV Talk: My 3 favorite shows airing right now
Another day another post.
Lot of good tv out there these days - surprising amount actually. Looking for to the return of Lost and Burn Notice next year. But this is about my favorite tv that on right now. And here they are:
1) Supernatural
My number one favorite show, hands down. Perfect blend of action, characters, and an exciting story that gets stronger with every season. A must see.
2) Dexter
Who would have thought a series centered on a serial killer would be so damn exciting. The current season (its fourth) is as good as season one (and that's saying a hell of a lot). RENT IT.
3) Fringe
It's a modern day X-Files. I love Olivia's focus, Walter's crazy and Peter right in the middle. Great stand alone stories combined with an really interesting bigger story developing makes this great viewing.

Thor's The Warriors Three Cast!
"Variety reports that Marvel Studios
and Thor director Kenneth Branagh have signed Stuart Townsend, Ray Stevenson, and Tadanobu Asano to play The Warriors Three, a trio of Asgardian adventurers who fight alongside the Norse god."

A Greed post - don't think less of me...
I want a kindle. I really do. I have since I heard of it, but it became much much worse when Shannon got one. I have only looked at hers twice because I fear I'd lose my mind and tuck it into my shirt and run. But damn, it is beautiful:

I won't go over all the tech specs because that's boring. Suffice it to say, it's awesome. And my shelves are over burdened with all the books I currently have. Going digital would save my space issue. I've already gone total digital with music...haven't bought a physical CD in years. Is this so different? And I can tell you that the screen looking just like the printed word is no hype - I've seen it and it's fantastic. I loaned Shannon a physical book recently and she said: "It was just such a hassle holding the pages open." Awesome. I see the print ads for Kindle and I want to be that person

Kindle, you WILL be mine! Though I probably won't wear that sun dress. I don't have the hips for it.

Slow time in the theaters these last few months...
Hello,
Haven't seen a movie in the theaters in quite a while. My tastes must be changing but everything out there looks either stupid or so mediocre that I can't justify spending the money. The next movie I can't wait to see is the next Twilight movie - New Moon! No, I'm joking, that series blows. And yes, I saw some of the movie (thank you Netflix and the fast forward button!) and read the book based on a recommendation of a friend (and no, I have not yet forgiven YOU!).
Looking over the Yahoo Movies site, it looks like the following flicks will be worth checking out:
The Road: never read the book but I would like to. The trailer looks bleak and cool.
Avatar: I hate the story (as suggested by the trailer) and really have a hard time with the PR machine telling me this film will change my life. BUT, Cameron is always good for action and eye candy, so, I'll see it.
Sherlock Holmes: Robert Downey Jr. Action Sherlock Holmes. What else does one need from a movie?
It's been like a year since I have posted. Whoops. I'm going for a post a day until the New Year. Let's see how that goes.
